Whether you're planning an exciting jaunt across Europe, an Asian adventure, or some other exotic excursion to a country where English is not the primary language; it can be a fun opportunity to try to learn a new language as a family! There are tons of fantastic tools out there for people looking to develop a working knowledge of a foreign language (
Rosetta Stone,
Pimsleur, etc.); but sometimes the easiest and most effective way to learn along with children is to buy or create flashcards of everyday objects and phrases and label things in your home. By taking some time each day to practice using the words and testing one another, you'll all have a chance to learn together and enjoy the excitement of getting ready for an adventure in a whole new world!
